SHROUDED INSANITY Synopsis
Saint Michael's Monastery, always the ideal retreat
for many a cleric, lies at the foothills of the
Canadian Rockies. For centuries, it had been revered
as a most sanctified haven, until they arrived .
. . two young clergymen, Father Xavier Fontaine
and Father André Jeneau, both entangled in
a web of . . . Shrouded Insanity.
One is driven to acts of violence by what he believes
will be his passport to salvation; and the other
is guided by intense madness and desperation to
unlock the mystery of his dark past. Be it destiny
or coincidence, the two holy men are not only challenged
by a murder investigation, headed by Inspector Norbert
Piedmont and his counterpart, Sergeant Major Jacques
Roget of the Canadian Mounties, but also by the
mysterious disappearance of a young novice, Sister
Domenique Rondeau.
While both are motivated by hatred, passion, and
personal beliefs, only one will be strong enough
to survive the ultimate tribulation and overcome
a serial killer, known as the Curator of Souls
