Dina
Kadisha, a 21 year-old American girl, ventures into the shantytowns of Gondar
and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to encounter one of the most compelling survival
stories of our time; A modern day exodus of the Ethiopian Jews to freedom in
Israel. Operation Promise, an initiative of the United Jewish Communities and
the United Jewish Federations of North America, together help bring an ancient
Jewish community back from the edge of government-imposed exile and starvation
and resettles them into the land of Milk and Honey.
